Brief Description:
University of Toronto students formed this Friends of SNCC chapter. In 1965, they protested outside the United States Embassy in Ottawa along with students from other university chapters. Weeks later, they sat-in at the United States Consulate. Diane Burrows organized a trip to Washington, D.C., where members of this chapter tried to meet with President Lyndon B. Johnson. They raised funds door-to-door, through letter campaigns, in shopping areas, and through folk festivals.
