John Beecher, the great-great nephew of Harriet Beecher Stowe and Henry Ward Beecher was invited to speak to the Bakersfield Friends of SNCC about his experiences in Mississippi. Marshall Ganz gives opinions on the political situation in McComb. Ganz was responsible for helping to organize SNCC activity in Bakersfield, as well as looking to start a chapter in Fresno.
